I kind of feel sorry for Michael Bennet...

...he received the "Kiss of Death" from conservative pundit George Will. Even if you don't support Bennet, he doesn't deserve the kiss of death from George Will.

Democrats should nominate Bennet

It could be the endorsement that marks Bennet's ascendancy. And it could also show that over 60% of DU members were dead wrong with our preferred choice at this point in time.

He's smart, even tempered, from a good region, the right age. I'm not sure what Democrats want in a candidate anymore. Maybe if Biden hadn't run, Bennet could have filled the vacuum, but it's over for him now.

decency. George Will can't deliver the "kiss" of anything. Nobody cares what Will thinks or writes about. His ship sailed long ago and nobody cares what happens to him. It is all to Bennet's favor that he writes this about him. We Dems are the party of thinking, well educated people. George Will is piffle (and I think he knows it).

Maybe to you.

George Will is a never-Trumper. So he does reflect a certain segment of voters looking for someone normal and less extreme to vote for. There is a dearth of options for them.

Biden comes closest, I guess, in the Democratic Party. Next up would be a third party. Maybe they'd go for a third party. Is Schultz still in?

I'm not sure of the issue they have with Biden. His age is an issue with many people, so maybe that's it.

He makes a good case for Bennett. I'd be interested in him. Too bad it wasn't Democrats who brought attention to Bennett. In reading up on Bennett, he has a badge-worthy history of supporting all the big Democratic causes...the ACA, healthcare public option, migrants, children of migrants, environment, etc.

He was handed his senate seat on a silver platter because Obama endorsed him IN THE PRIMARY in 2010.

I think he's okay as a senator, but nothing special. He's a very poor public speaker, and except for that one speech that made him famous when he ripped Ted Cruz a new one (which I loved), he never gets too excited about liberal politics.

As for Will, he's still vomiting up the the dictionary he swallowed when he was four years old. Other than that he's an idiot.
