" De Blasio campaign officials said they know of no donations to the state PAC that were intended to support the mayors consideration of a White House run. They added the mayor had been clear in his fundraising pitches at the time.
The mayor was consistent in his public and private comments: He wanted to ensure the issues affecting working families were in the national dialogue, and had not ruled out a run but it would ultimately be a family decision, said campaign spokeswoman Olivia Lapeyrolerie. "
...maybe it's just a misunderstanding...

...DO NOT like Bill...
...and neither do many Democrats in NYC. He has been, in my opinion, a terrible Mayor. Under his tenure there has been a massive growth in super-tall ultra-luxury apartments (owned primarily by foreigners) with zoning variances freely given if the developers would deign to build SOME affordable housing...somewhere else. He also has a terrible transportation policy, including a vanity ferry system serving upper/middle class neighborhoods with an average SUBSIDY per trip of $6.50, a plan to build a temporary highway through a public park and directly adjacent to back yards of existing homes to facilitate road repair, and an unwillingness to crack down on care/trucks etc. parked in bike lanes, resulting in an increasing number of accidents and deaths of cyclists. Add to which, a "man of people" doesn't generally ride 10 miles a day in a police convoy to travel from his Manhattan residence to his gym in Brooklyn.
