Congratulations to our presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden!
'He doesn't have any new ideas': John Delaney bashes Biden
PoliticoJoe Biden has the fundraising muscle, the lead in the polls and the cachet with voters from his years as Barack Obamas No. 2.
But John Delaney says hes got something to offer that the former vice president does not.
He doesnt have any new ideas, and hes effectively just running an old playbook, Delaney, a former lawmaker from Maryland, said of Biden in a wide-ranging interview Thursday with POLITICO reporters and editors. On all these issues, I have a bunch of new ideas that can allow us to reimagine our future, and I think people get that I can do that.
Delaney, like Biden, is running as a relative moderate in the Democratic field who says he could work with Republicans to get things done if he defeats President Donald Trump in 2020.

We could elect the love child of George Washington and Jesus and they would still tell him to drop dead.

(83 posts)5. One thing Biden has: A real good chance to beat Trump.
More so than others, whether we like it or not. Our first order of business is to defeat Trump. I am with whoever can demonstrate a winning strategy for those purple and weak red states that we lost because folks were fooled into sitting home or voting 3rd party.

I suggested in a previous thread Biden should offer Delaney the VP slot or a cabinet position.
Disappointed to see Delaney take the low road. He's now my second least favorite candidate behind Harris.
