The Hill - Sanders campaign vents frustration with media, polls

Bernie is using the tried and true approach of attacking the fake news. Bernie has already attacked NAFTA and trade agreements blaming Mexico and China for the ails of U.S. workers and has attacked his rivals on immigration for being in favor of "open borders."

Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-Vt.) campaign aides are questioning the polls and venting frustration with the news media, arguing that a biased political press is writing him off or blackballing him from coverage of the 2020 Democratic presidential primary.

Sanders is in second or third place in many national and early-state polls, but his campaign has struggled to overcome the emerging narrative that his moment has passed.

“Every time there is a story about how Bernie can’t win, it fans the flame of our base and we get more donations and more volunteers,” said one Sanders campaign aide who is not authorized to speak on the record.

“We’ll never be the favorites in the media. I get it. But when was the last time one of these pundits visited a field office or talked to a state director? The bottom line is we have 2 million [donors] who have bought stock in what we’re trying to do. That’s powerful. If the media doesn’t want to tell that story, that’s fine. It just means we have to out-hustle these other campaigns.”

It's not Joe Biden who is still leading in the polls right now.

What are they exactly complaining about?

There are some new kids on the block. And one whose political career goes back further than yours. Don't blame the media or polls for choices that Democratic voters are making. And if you wish to be considered as a bona-fide Democratic presidential candidate, you might consider declaring yourself to be an actual member of the party.

...almost daily, and he's even appeared frequently on FOX!

He gets more coverage than any other candidate. I guess he's upset because he's not getting ALL of the coverage.

One could hardly say he's "blackballed".

Joe Biden

From what I've read on DU BS is always on the tv.. like every Sunday and during the week.

Maybe it's overexposure? Did they ever think about that?
