Interviews were conducted July 21-23, 2019 among a random national sample of 1,004
registered voters (RV). Landline (217) and cellphone (787) telephone numbers were randomly
selected for inclusion in the survey using a probability proportionate to size method, which
means phone numbers for each state are proportional to the number of voters in each state.
Results based on the full sample have a margin of sampling error of ± 3 percentage points.

(6,414 posts)Even if everything is above board in 2020, Trump has structural advantages in the electoral college. Winning the popular vote by a few points may not get it done.

(10,831 posts)He tweeted something to the effect: win by a large enough margin and you win even if there is cheating. It's these razor-thin races that are at the most risk, where cheating can be camouflaged. The other thing is focusing on the electoral college race. Whether we like it or not, the EC is a fact of life and will determine the 2020 election. That's why bringing back Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin is so important. And again, Trump took those states with less than 80,000 votes. Who knows what happen with those tabulations?
So yes, the margin of victory absolutely matters in today's political landscape.

(1,501 posts)The two most likeable guys are beating Trump but Biden is the most loveable. He is also the only candidate who can step into the job effortlessly and has Barack's private mobile number for brotherly chats while Jill has Michelle on speed dial.
