8/6 Emerson poll, TEXAS: Biden leads O'Rourke 27.7% to 19%, & beats Trump by 2 points

https://www.dallasnews.com/news/elections-2020/2019/08/06/new-poll-biden-leads-orourke-texas-presidential-primary-race-sen-john-cornyn-wide-open

I need to point out at the start that this poll also shows Sanders beating Trump by 2 points. Both Biden and Sanders beat Trump 51-49 in this B+ rated poll.

All other Democratic candidates lose to Trump in this new poll. Beto loses to him by 4 points, as do Warren and Buttigieg. Harris and Castro lose to Trump by 6 points.

In the primary race:

Biden 27.7%
O'Rourke 19%
Sanders 15.7%
Warren 13.7%
Buttigieg 7.2%
Harris 5.3%
Yang 3.1%
Booker 1.6%
Castro 1.6%

I know everyone is waiting and hoping for impeachment..but that will not remove him.. there is no way the senate is going to remove him. so we have to get him out at the polls... .all I want to sing on that first Tuesday in Nov. 2020.. is Good Bye and Good Riddance to the Trumpians.. and they will be a snarly little foot note in our history.. we get those every now and then..

the Castro numbers are bad yet media keeps wanting to try to make it like there is some serious competition between Castro and beto in Texas.

when the truth is that beto would easily beat him.

Ever.

Also, Beto and some Trump are the only yard signs I've seen out so far. I've started hitting some neighborhoods with my minivan app for Beto, Lizzie Fletcher, and MJ Hegar as well.

Got a few on my list to agree to Hegar and Fletcher signs on their lawns as well, but haven't seen any placed as of yet. Still early though.

I think part of the problem in 2016 was it was looking like we might get AZ or GA and Hillary went to those states. Can't take the midwestern swing states for granted again.

Didn't O'Rourke win them against Cruz and even half a million Republicans? That proven crossover support is the most important thing to consider in a state like Texas. It can't be won without those voters. O'Rourke has proven he can win those Texas voters. No one else has. That last poll from just a few days ago and a different source included Independents. Does this one include them as well? Can those people vote in the primary?

this state. There are no "registered" Dems or repugs. We only have registered voters. Beto might win the primary in Texas but will not be the national candidate.
