Booker's strong debate performance shows no signs of moving voters

Politico

Sen. Cory Booker’s performance in last week’s second Democratic presidential primary debate drew praise in the media and played well with an Iowa focus group.

But so far, post-debate polls have not shown any significant movement for the New Jersey Democrat, either nationally or in one early primary state.

A Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday afternoon put Booker’s support nationally among Democratic primary voters at 2 percent, a statistically insignificant 1 percent increase from a pre-debate Quinnipiac poll released in late July.

At the same time, Booker’s criticisms of former Vice President Joe Biden for boasting of how he was able to work with segregationist senators been detrimental to the former vice president. Biden remains the front-runner for the nomination with 32 percent support, according to the latest Quinnipiac poll, down just 2 points from late July.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

is paying attention to these debates so far.

It doesn't start getting serious til the Fall IMO.

If you are going to start to see real movement (and you may or may not), it will be then.

were he in the Senate at the time. Or he would not have voted for the crime bill which passed with 98 votes? When has Booker ever been a maverick on that kind of bandwagon? And he never did explain why he used Giulani's guy and the other stuff Biden came up with on him. Seems, like Harris, he expects to be able to nitpick at others but can't take the heat for himself.

It was the 2 of race cards. Had to go back so far, and racism is not the way to go after Democrats, as if Republicans are not much, much, much, worse.

He did not respond well when Biden called him out. He just whined more about Biden's alleged faults and blamed Biden for all alleged results of the Crime Bill (one which passed with 98 votes and Booker will never be able to prove he would not have joined that bandwagon had he been there) as though Biden were the only human to make it into law, and never answered about his faults in Newark. And as if Biden were the only Human responsible for the Obama Administration immigration policies, which were not nearly as evil as alleged.

Har har Cory, that was in unbelievably bad taste considering that a US Congressman and several others got killed trying to figure out what the hell was happening in Guiana before several dozen Jim Jones followers drank cynanide-laced Kool-Aid.
