Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumThe RW has a new nickname for Elizabeth Warren.
Apparently Pocahontas has flamed out, so Ive noticed the right wing talking heads trying out a new one.
Its Schoolmarm.
One guy said:Shes like your oldest, ugliest teacher that nobody liked.
This was on some stupid Fox News show in a waiting room. I got up and changed the channel to ESPN while muttering out loudhow can people watch that garbage. Nobody said anything to me.

(11,330 posts)back when people had schoolmarms.
In the last 70 years, we've had school teachers...not schoolmarms.

Of course, we could come up with a similar epithet for Alan Dershowitz...

(31,261 posts)You should have read how they said Hillary looked and smelled (yep, you read it right, a lot of the clowns went there) in 2016. When they are afraid of a woman, they describe her in the worst terms that they can think of.
Ignore them. We need to focus on what we need to do to end Trump's presidency via voting.

(10,836 posts)Let them rant on about any woman as ugly, horse-face, old and see how women in general react at the ballot box.
It won't be pretty! Everyone has the Trumpster's number at this point. Other Republicans trot along at their own peril.

(31,261 posts)All my career I have seen men talk about a woman's looks, or about who she may have slept with to get ahead. All the men that did that were losers and time proved them to be losers.

(34,462 posts)ratings. Students love her. And aside from the misogyny of evaluating women of all ages based on their looks, Id say Trump presents a glass house for those stone throwers.

(3,165 posts)...is not a bad place to be if you're an authoritative woman...
...IMO, it's a positive way a commanding woman can show strength...
...think about it, if a woman acts too masculine she's always accused of being unwoman-like, too manly...if she doesn't, then she's accused of being weak...
...but if she stands erect with a commanding 'schoolmarm' presence and attitude, an attitude in which there's zero tolerance for discourse or disruption, she becomes the matriarch all must follow...I had several teachers with that kind of matriarchal presence...you dare not cross them...
...look at it this way, could Hillary have gotten away with saying, "..just grab 'em by the balls."?
...I think Elizabeth should develop that strong 'schoolmarm' persona, not shy away from it...
...
