Keep in mind that not all DU members follow Greatest Threads or read a post just because it has a relatively high number of recs. A lot of people only read things based on content, not arbitrary "likes."

Seems kind of crazy to suggest demonizing fellow Dems just because they haven't read something you wrote or just because they didn't happen to check in within the 24-hour timeframe in which your post will receive any kind of visibility whatsoever.

Here's an example for you: A friend of mine who is an environmental scientist and has testified at congressional hearings on climate change is a DU member who mostly checks into the site to post in the science forum and to read news posts about climate change. I think he's posted maybe only twice in the past year in this primary forum.

He doesn't engage in the back and forth that pushes a post a little higher up on the 24-hour reading pole for the same reason he isn't on Twitter or Facebook: Because, quite frankly, he's A LITTLE TOO BUSY TRYING TO SAVE THE WORLD. Shall we demonize him too?

Eliot, for Questions 1 to 4 above, no need to answer with word jumbles. If you would please just answer with the Question # and its appropriate corresponding multiple choice answer, that would go a long way in helping me and fellow slow people to understand what you really meant.

In general the WORST Democratic candidate is better than the BEST Republican candidate and that is without naming any names. I have my preferences about who I would prefer to be the nominee, but I will support every Democratic candidate. I have never supported a Republican candidate because since I have been voting beginning with the 1992 election, and in my state of California, the Democratic candidates have always had positions that I support over the Republican candidates. conversation of who you will support in our Dem Primary. I can't wait for it, I am so excited.
