Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumBest news of the day is Biden beating Trump by 16 points in the new Quinnipiac poll
https://www.democraticunderground.com/1287256973That number, folks, could mean a landslide, and solid Democratic majorities in both House and Senate, as well as lots of Dems swept into state offices across the country.
Not a blue wave -- a blue tsunami.
For comparison purposes...HRC didn't have that wide a margin over Trump after July 2015:

primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

Reagan 58.8% Mondale 40.6%
Obama 52.9% McCain 45.7%
So at present, in this poll, these are most like 1984 numbers. Republicans picked up 16 seats in the House, and lost only 2 in the Senate. Of course that was following the landslide of 1980, so Republicans didn't have much upside potential in 1984.
We can do as well or better in 2020

(7,277 posts)in jail = infinity. I look forward to a future where 'Donald J Trump' is mentioned in the same breath as Benedict Arnold - a name that will live in infamy.

(7,277 posts)and I am guessing that many of them, in the words of Ted Cruz, 'would crawl over broken glass' to vote Trump out. To quote Obama (again) 'we have a righteous wind on our backs'.
