(5,420 posts)They have him at 25%.
This type of inaccuracy has been noted about the RCP Polls numbers before and for several candidates. So far it has always been erros on the high side.

(5,420 posts)Seems that the last Monmouth poll showing him at 19% wasn't that different, hmm?

(5,420 posts)Their errors do effect the averages. And always on the high side. It's puzzling.

(560 posts)(excluding independents) and the registered voters poll. They probably pulled the number from one of those. Why they choose to do it that way is a mystery to me.
Edit: It's the RV poll. The numbers match for the other candidates, too.

So, I guess, all the poll results they list are only for registered voters? Ok... that stops any shennigans, but it would be nice if they stated that somewhere prominently.

(55,850 posts)Harris 45%).
That's the number of Democrats who said each candidate would "probably beat Donald Trump."
Interestingly, 11% of Republicans also told the pollster that Biden would probably beat Trump. (For the other top candidates. that was 8% or less.)
26% of independents thought Biden would probably beat Trump. It was the same number for Sanders, and 22% for Warren.

(49,754 posts)26% for Biden v Rump from them is ridiculously underrating him.
I would take 4 to 1 on Joe and walk away more than likely with a nice profit.

(55,850 posts)Of course these are not just Democratic-leaning indies. The indies in this poll include Republican-leaning as well.

(49,754 posts)Warren I still have no definitive sense about.
BUT
then again, a Sanders (for sure) and a Warren (say 80%) as nominee scenario WILL yield that fucker Schultz running as a an indie focusing on drawing off all centrist votes he can from us, and maybe (much less likely) even Bloomberg jumping in.
Zero clue what Steyer is going to do. He can be a nightmare if he goes full blown negative advert blitz on our top 4 or 5 in an attempt to win the nomination.
