Sen. Gillibrand ends presidential campaign

?s=19

Kirsten Gillibrand

@SenGillibrand
Today, I am ending my campaign for president.

I am so proud of this team and all we've accomplished. But I think it’s important to know how you can best serve.

To our supporters: Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Now, let's go beat Donald Trump and win back the Senate.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

She has been a good Senator and a good Democrat. She got (unfairly, IMO) vilified for the Franken situation. Funny how the woman gets blamed.

3. Except for Franken controvery - which Warren also joined - I think Gillibrand was decent candidate.

I have always found it, unsettling to say the least, that Gillibrand took the brunt of it.

She's a good Democrat and a good Senator for her state. I wish her well.

Which is why it happened then, of course. I will never get why so many on the left scapegoated Gillibrand when many legislators called for his resignation.

"She started it!" Such a childish argument.

It wasn't that others didn't join in. But she was the first to call for his resignation - rather than grant him due process.

Even at that, I can understand her position, which has been consistent, but I cannot understand how she could be trolled by Leeann Tweeden and InfoWars. I don't want a candidate that falls for that stuff.

I know people who go to the Minnesota State Fair and several of them posted pictures of Franken with his arm around them. The exact same pose! I guess I didn't see any "there" there, and I still think it was engineered by Infowars. They created an issue, and others fell for it. It happened when Franken was being so enormously effective at questioning Jeff Sessions. The right has used this playbook before.
