NH Sec of State says if Iowa changes from caucuses to primary, NH primary could be in December

Responding to Iowa & Nevada's caucus shake-up, New Hampshire Secretary of State Bill Gardner notes a #FITN primary date has not been set. Asked if he could move it up, Gardner tells me, "There’s nothing stopping me from setting it in December." #nhpolitics

Iowa Democrat Party Chair Troy Price told reporters Friday following the news that, "Iowa will be a caucus and Iowa will be first," and said DNC Chairman Tom Perez assured him of being first in a phone call today. Meanwhile, New Hampshire Secretary of State Bill Gardner told reporters that New Hampshire would remain the first primary state, and that if Iowa did not hold caucuses, he could move his state's primary to December.

The first caucus - the first primary, is all silly manufactured bullshit. Who really cares?

It is ridiculous having candidates running all over the country eating fried food and begging for money. I’m sick of it.

They should have a national primary on one day and get it over with and stop wasting everyone’s time.

Good candidates won't have the time to distill their message to gain support and money. PACs and SuperPacs will rule the day and distort the outcome.

Our current system has a general election after a long primary season, voters, even hateful ones, have had months to evaluate candidates.

Carve the nation into 6 regions on the mainland, NE, SE, NW, SW, Central (north), Central South.
