If Mr. O'Rourke is willing to say the word "fuck" in public and on TV, why won't people spell it out? It's not as if anyone doesn't know what word is being referenced.

It seems childish and puritanical, two behaviors we really don't need today.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

however, I wont wear clothing with swear words ( and I swear like a sailor ) because a child may see it. Maybe I am too old school, but I don't really want to be teaching a 4 year old the word fuck.

and I think this basic fact can sometimes get obscured in the heat of anger. Basically, people should honestly examine their motivations when it comes to political expression - when they do something like wear a shirt with the F word on it in public - are they genuinely embarking on positive political advocacy (i.e. they genuinely hope to change minds in favor of their side) or is it just self-indulgence (i.e. they just want to express their anger and don't care what effect this has on public opinion).
