Think of the 2016 debate and the 2012. By most accounts, Kain took the same approach as Biden - but the narrative was completely different because Biden has a way of deflecting with charm. Kain is a good guy, and I think he's a very good senator, but he struggled battling the narrative that he was rude to Pence with all the interrupting.

Biden interrupted the fuck out of Ryan ... but he does it in a way where it doesn't feel rude. It feels almost kind of affable.
