Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumHow many staffers can you name who aren't with Bernie 2020
...but are campaign staffers for candidates in the current Democratic presidential primary? (Without Googling.)

(7,681 posts)There's a very obvious strategy of demonizing/discrediting anyone associated with the Sanders campaign.

(44,072 posts)Bernie win. They appear to spend a lot of time in grudge matches rather than promoting policy.
Bernie deserves much much better.

I don't think that's it.

(44,072 posts)It may have made sense to Bernie when he hired them, but it isnt working well for his campaign.
We dont know the names of the other campaigns top staff because as fair as I know those staffers arent out there on twitter getting into ugly fights with people and encouraging doxxing.
As I say, Bernie deserves way better than this. He has great ideas, hes a man of character, and an excellent candidate. Sirota et al detract from Bernie.
My humble opinion based on my observation.

(7,681 posts)I guess. But it wasn't a joke it was a simple observation. If you want a discussion to end you shouldn't continue.
and btw, speaking of twitter...Ian Sams is a complete asshole on twitter but you don't see that because you don't want to.
Because what you want is for it to be just about Sirota and Gray. Which goes back to the original point.
Anyway, great discussion as always. Thanks!

(44,072 posts)If Ian Sams is behaving in a toxic manner, then the Harris campaign should get rid of him.
(I will admit Sanders is much higher on my short list that Harris, so thats Probably why I dont know him.)
What I want is for Bernie to have the best staff available, ones that will effectively support him and promote him. Not ones who appear to waste a lot of time in pointless melodrama that have zero to do with getting Bernie the nomination. I know they mean well, but thats not how an effective campaign person spends their time.
You have a different opinion and apparently believe they are doing a great job. So well just have to disagree.
You seem to want to insinuate my opinion makes me a bad person. It doesnt. Your opinion that they are doing a great job doesnt make you a bad person. We just have different ideas about whether Sirotas and Greys twitter activities help or harm Senator Sanders in the long run.
Melman, I always like talking with you. Hope you have a nice weekend.

(5,167 posts)I can name Bernie staffers, Faiz Shakir, David Sirota, and Nina Turner, because people here complain about them.
The only staffer's name I can remember for anybody else is Symone Sanders, because she worked for Bernie last time and Biden this time.
The rest are the usual suspects from the DNC crowd all hoping for a White House gig.

(10,129 posts)too much attention. For instance I have no idea who Warren's staffers are. Good staff doesn't distract from the candidate.

(33,482 posts)Personally I don't give a shit who's with Bernie. I have a distinct impression of "who's with Bernie."
Yesterday I saw my first ever "Jill Stein" bumper sticker, from 2016, which had the interesting claim "Vote for the Greater Good, not the Lesser Evil." It was right next to the Bernie 2016 sticker, on a Prius in a parking lot at Rutgers University.
The "greater good" is apparently a mentally deteriorating orange Nazi in the White House inciting racist mass shootings in the United States.
To me that says everything I need to know about Sanders. I have no use for a candidate who has supporters include any people have a vision of "good" that is so defined.
I'm personally not interested in Googling anything about Bernie Sanders. I personally wish he'd just go away. He won't, but I wish he would.
