MANCHESTER -- Former Vice President Joe Biden's campaign continued its strategy of trying to use big names to create big momentum, with two former New Hampshire Democratic Party chairs endorsing his 2020 presidential run Friday.
Michael King of Portsmouth and Chris Spirou, formerly of Manchester, came out for Biden in advance of the 2019 New Hampshire Democratic Party Convention this weekend and Biden's fifth visit to the first-in-the-nation primary state in five months.
Later Friday, Biden will host town hall forums in Laconia and New Castle.
King, a former state legislator, was head of the party in 1996 when Jeanne Shaheen started a streak of Democrats winning the race for governor in eight of the next nine elections.
