while 38% think a moderate Dem (who would still be liberal by almost all standards) is more likely to beat Trump

And of course 45% say it doesn't matter.

But this does confirm that there's concern about moving too far left among a substantial percentage of Democrats.

Which is useful info when you sometimes see very liberal Dems argue that it's only Republicans or formerly Republican Never Trumpers who think Democrats are more likely to beat Trump if their nominee isn't too far left.

(unfortunately including M4A), but what is often missed is that her no 1 issue is corruption, and that resonates across the political spectrum.

...asks people to make a guess as to who they feel OTHER people will vote for. Which is largely going to be a regurgitation of what they've "heard", or perhaps demonstrate their biases about how they think other people will think. That might have some value in some kind of psychological analysis of voters' perceptions, but it is useless in telling us anything about who would actually win.
