ABC/WP poll finds Biden with 44% support from black voters, higher than in July

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/warren-gains-harris-slips-room-movement-vast/story?id=65414558

Biden owes much of his advantage to blacks, with 44 percent support, about double his level among whites and Hispanics alike. (Results among blacks and Hispanics are from the last two ABC/Post polls combined for more robust sample sizes.)

Since they combined this poll with the one from July for a larger sample size, I looked up the older poll and found Biden was at 41% then:

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/harris-scores-debate-performance-electability-biden-front/story?id=64092090

Notably among groups, while Harris challenged Biden on the subject of race in their debate, his support is especially strong among blacks, 41%, 12 points higher than it is overall. Harris’ support, by contrast, is not differentiated by race and ethnicity – 11% among blacks and an identical 11% among all leaned Democrats. Warren, for her part, has notably low support among nonwhites, 5%.

Unfortunately neither the ABC article nor the PDF for the new poll

https://www.langerresearch.com/wp-content/uploads/1207a12020Democrats.pdf

had an exact breakdown of Biden's support among black voters compared to their support for the other candidates.

But from this poll, it looks as if he''s gaining support among black voters, rather than losing support.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

If you base your candidacy on electability, then lose, it quickly deflates your rationale. Especially when the polls show Trump losing to just about anybody.

I think Biden will do fine in Iowa but a small white state won't determine the nominee...GOP state at that.

She was running against an extremely charismatic, intelligent and articulate African American -- a leader that appears once every half a century.

She was also the first female contender for the nomination who actually had a chance of winning.

Biden is, in fact, an Obama rerun because he served the greatest POTUS of this century for 8 years. People know that a Biden win is actually Obama's third term.
