Why haven't 3 of the candidates taken the Indivisible Pledge?

17 out of the current 20 candidates have taken the indivisible pledge. I would like to know why Gabbard, Messam and Yang have not.

https://pledge.indivisible.org

The 2020 Candidate Pledge

We must defeat Donald Trump. The first step is a primary contest that produces a strong Democratic nominee. The second step is winning the general election. We will not accept anything less. To ensure this outcome, I pledge to:

Make the primary constructive. I’ll respect the other candidates and make the primary election about inspiring voters with my vision for the future.

Rally behind the winner. I’ll support the ultimate Democratic nominee, whomever it is — period. No Monday morning quarterbacking. No third-party threats. Immediately after there’s a nominee, I’ll endorse.

Do the work to beat Trump. I will do everything in my power to make the Democratic Nominee the next President of the United States. As soon as there is a nominee, I will put myself at the disposal of the campaign.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

...no mailing address, no phone number, no names of anyone behind the organization. If any of that is on their site, they sure don't make it easy to find.

There's a lot of vague talk about themselves:

Indivisible.org is a joint website of Indivisible Project and Indivisible Action. Indivisible Project and Indivisible Action are separate organizations.

Indivisible Project is a registered 501(c)(4). Its mission is to cultivate and lift up a grassroots movement of local groups to defeat the Trump agenda, elect progressive leaders, and realize bold progressive policies.

Indivisible Action is a Hybrid Political Action Committee fueled by the grassroots movement to win elections and build local, independent progressive power nationwide.

The only thing they have is a contact email address..

Who We Are
Indivisible Civics supports civic education and leadership development for local Indivisible groups by offering trainings, facilitating regional group coordination, building partnerships, demystifying federal and state policy processes, and supporting voter registration. Learn more about Indivisible Civics at indivisiblecivics.org.

Indivisible Project empowers Indivisible groups to achieve legislative and electoral victories through legislative advocacy and political campaign expertise, strategic and coordinated calls to action, and a targeted electoral program.

Indivisible Action provides Indivisible groups access to voter contact software, along with a suite of canvassing, phonebanking, and texting tools in support of progressive candidates. Indivisible Action also makes endorsements of federal and gubernatorial candidates nominated by their local Indivisible groups, vetted by our political team, and voted on by our supporters in the states and districts the candidate wishes to represent.

Our Work
We provide hands-on support to local groups to grow their groups, devise campaigns, and set priorities.

We provide policy and political guidance by creating resources to demystify Congress and elections to make it easy for local groups and activists to take action and build power on their home turf.

We provide tools and trainings to win policy campaigns and elections and hand those tools (that are so often held by campaigns and political parties) over to local groups.

We provide amplification for local advocacy by building a movement-wide narrative to build a shared identity online and in the media.

Our Impact
Indivisibles are engaging millions of new people in our democracy. Through their activism and electoral work, Indivisibles are increasing the number of people engaged in our democracy.

Indivisibles are building long-lasting, local power. Indivisibles call. Show up. Organize. And in doing so, they’ve built hundreds of mini-movements in support of their local values.

Indivisibles are reshaping what’s politically possible. By challenging the status quo and the Democratic establishment through real, face-to-face accountability, they’re creating a more progressive political atmosphere.

Indivisibles are winning. Big time. Defeating the repeal of healthcare (twice!). Huge electoral victories in Virginia’s 2017 state elections and Alabama’s Senate special election. Indivisibles are changing what’s politically “viable” or “winnable.”

But as I said, it's not obvious, kind of hidden - a confusing site.

So that brings to the next question - who are they to be demanding that candidates take THEIR pledge?

That he didn’t think a third party run would be a good idea as the goal is to defeat Trump. So the information appears to be in error.

They do hold rallies and generally try to do their best for us "sorta" lefties. Good old fashioned liberals.

The thing is, though, that after a huge start and several meetings out here, they just sorta fizzled away. I don't think it's their fault, though-- just the natural attrition of us good ol' fashioned liberals when a new shiny thing pops up.

And the "My way or the Highway" types never showed much interest anyway.
