(11,686 posts)I fear he might have been the last true president this country will ever have.
If trump steals the election again we are going to be totally screwed.

Not only is he claiming co-authorship of Obamas record. Hes sending message to the others:
You want to attack Obamas record? Make my day!
Response to that from Yale professor Howard Forman:

(10,819 posts)And just before the debate is interesting?
I suspect Biden is sending a heads-up: Let's cut out the Obama criticism that bled into the last debate. Doesn't help the party or any of our candidates. Just offers up fodder to the Trumpers.

(82,383 posts)There is a lot of sentiment about missing President Obama out there. The Dotard is so bad that this is the case. We didn't say that about Clinton and the right did not say it about Bush. People don't keep talking about the past POTUS the way they do now.
And if Biden is nominated, President Obama can echo all this.

(2,497 posts)that he served as second in command for 8 years beside the greatest president in our lifetime. Most Democrats understand this and respect his loyalty and experience.
That is why he is leading...that is why he will win.
ONLY!!! 2019 and beyond.

(191 posts)No wonder they are doing so poorly with African-Americans. Bernie and Warren only mention Obama when they want to be critical, but you never hear any praise.

(498 posts)I don't care that he was Obama's vp.
Vp's do nothing.
They're there in case the Pres dies or becomes incapacitated.
They don't make policy, they don't keep the country on track, they're just there to smile for the camera.
I'm not saying that makes Joe bad. Only that I don't care what he did as VP.
Tell me how you're going to solve the problems that face this country. You won't have Pres. Obama to do things for you, you'll be in charge.
Tell me how you won't let the criminals in the white house currently get away with everything they've done (like bush and cheney did)
Tell me how you will stop putin's attempt to destroy America and Europe.
Tell me how you'll make the world a better place for everyone.
...
Because everyone on DU is so uptight about it, hell yes I'll vote for Biden if he's our nominee. But I won't be happy about it. I don't think he has what it takes. He will give whatever is left to the republicans in order to look like he's willing to work together with everyone.
