In January, 2007, Sen. Barack Obama spoke at a fundraiser for Barbara Boxer when SF District Attorney Kamala Harris pushed past me and the rest of the crowd to meet Obama at the rope line. Two years later, I spent an evening in a Noe Valley living room as she began her campaign for State Attorney General.
Do you have any stories about the field to share?

(25,750 posts)It was wonderful. I didn't speak to him, because I figured the African Americans there ought to have first dibs on him. I have no regrets, because at least I was in the same room with him.
I was a huge supporter of Howard Dean, and met him several times. I like him a lot. Too bad he wasn't our nominee.
