New 538 poll shows likely Dem voters still find Biden most electable by a wide margin

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/democratic-debate-september-poll/

We’re also asking respondents to estimate each Democrat’s chances of defeating President Trump — from 0 percent to 100 percent. Polls show Democratic primary voters are prioritizing “electability,” but who do they think is electable?

They think Biden is most electable, both after the debate and before it.

Candidate Pre-debate Post-debate Change

Joe Biden 68.3 67.5 -0.8
Bernie Sanders 55.7 55.5 -0.2
Elizabeth Warren 51.4 53.8 +2.
Kamala Harris 40.2 41.3 +1.1
Beto O’Rourke 33.6 35.6 +1.9
Pete Buttigieg 33.4 35.4 +1.9
Cory Booker 32.0 34.0 +2.1
Julián Castro 25.4 26.4 +1.1
Amy Klobuchar 23.3 25.8 +2.6
Andrew Yang 23.1 25.5 +2.4

So these likely primary voters put Biden's chances of beating Trump at 68%, Sanders' at 56%, and Warren's at 54%. They give every other candidate less than a 50% chance of beating Trump, though they'll give even Yang a 25% chance of beating him.

Not a good trend...

Only Biden's and Sanders' went down.

Even Castro's electability went up.

the most electable given the EC. All the candidates would probably receive more votes than Trump but my guess is Joe puts Florida, Ohio, Iowa and maybe NC in play to an extent the others can't. It's not a slight on the others but he's 5he easiest path to beat Trump in EC. He's vetted and we know him.

international community, we have responsibilities. Biden’s leadership can bring Iran back to the table, show NK and Russia our resolve, and mediate fought situations globally.

The former vice president would bring deep relationships and heavyweight credentials to a 2020 Democratic field lacking in national security experience.
By DANIEL LIPPMAN 03/20/2019 05:04 AM EDT

When Joe Biden attended the annual Munich Security Conference last month, the wonky foreign policy confab promised an escape from the nonstop speculation back home about the former vice president’s political plans.

Instead, Biden’s 2020 intentions were the talk of the conference.
