(3,695 posts)I'd treat this great result with a grain of salt until it's confirm by other polls. There should be some additional polls that reflect post debate results soon.

(1,285 posts)and then the only state he carried was Vermont. It's a different situation this year and Biden's lead looks solid, but it's 5 months until anyone votes and national totals don't matter as much as the polls in the early primary states. If someone other than Biden wins Iowa, NH and South Carolina then that can change the picture pretty quickly.

(7,277 posts)I was a Clarkie. The Deanic narrative was that Wes was an Establishment shill, sent in by 'The Clintons' to piss on the Doctor's cornflakes. That wasn't true - but I have found much to admire about Howard Dean since then, ( even if he is from Vermont ).

(7,277 posts)I remember feeling helpless when the media decided it was all over after NH.
NH 2008 was the opposite. I will never forget watching the Yes We Can speech for the first time. Barack had come second, but by the time he was finished speaking, I knew he was going to win the whole thing. One of those times that make life worth living moments.
