As someone quite happy with my insurance through my employer, O’Rourke’s plan seems like my family and my family could continue as-is. That, I like.

What no candidate addresses, however, is increasing the capacity of the healthcare system when millions gain coverage. They’ll need doctors, nurses, MRI machines, hospitals, etc, etc. What are the plans there?

My GP, who I’ve used for 20+ years, has a sign that says something like ‘Currently, not accepting new Medicare patients.’ I’ve seen similar ones at other doctors over the years. If that’s common, we need more doctors.

A few years ago, I needed a neurologist, and in my area (four towns totally around 300,000), there were only about 8 to choose from. I had to wait almost 3 months to get in.

I want every American to be covered, but if there aren’t providers, giving out coverage to millions is good for now one of the system is clogged. We need creative solutions on how to handle the incremental people. I’m not hearing candidates talking about that.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

tell people what it will cost them in taxes and/or premiums. Some examples, single, married, family, etc., at various income levels, including subsidies. Until ten, it’s hard to assess.

which seems impractical anyways.

Unless this "Public Option" is gimped to the point where only a few can benefit or pay into it, it will be paid for by everyone's taxes and offer much better coverage than even the best private plans that offer comparable coverage. My worry is the gimping part, the Republicans and moderate Democrats would attempt to gimp it to make private insurance more "competitive".
