Ben Jacobs of Jewish Insider points out NY Jewish vote in new poll: Biden 29%, Warren 16% Sanders 4%

I posted that A-rated Sienna pol of NY state earlier today but didn't look at the internal numbers.

https://www.democraticunderground.com/1287283267

Buttigieg is also at 4% with Jewish voters. All other candidates at 2% or less.

Does anyone have any idea why Sanders is polling so poorly among Jewish voters there?

primary today, I would vote for:

so they vote similar to black voters and that's usually those who have formed relationships with the community over a long period of time.

Sanders lost the Jewish vote in 2016 also.

Jewish Democrats are very active in party politics and follow these issues closely. The Jewish Caucus at the National Convention was one of the larger caucuses. The Jewish Caucus at the Texas state democratic conventions are always one of the larger caucuses at these conventions. I remember a ton of spirited discussions at Onegs following services about Democratic politics. Jewish Democrats follow politics closely and are very aware of the facts described above.

Again, I am not surprised by the level of support for sanders by Jewish voters as shown by the polling cited in the OP.

Having Sarsour as a surrogate was a very bad move. https://www.investigativeproject.org/8065/sanders-doubles-down-on-anti-semite-sarsour

Bernie Sanders has made an odd calculation in his quest for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. He all-but-ceded support from Jewish Democrats during the weekend by announcing anti-Semitic activist Linda Sarsour again will serve as a campaign surrogate.

When Sanders embraced Sarsour's support during the 2016 campaign, we showed how her rabidly anti-Israel views crossed into anti-Semitism. She views Zionism – the belief in a Jewish homeland – as "creepy." She spoke at Louis Farrakhan's 2015 Million Man March, where she called Zionists white supremacists.

Her actions since then, in helping lead the national Women's March and in spreading a blood libel that blames Jews for police shootings of unarmed black people, have only made her hatred for the Jewish state and its supporters clearer.

Again, Sarsour was forced out of the Women's March due to these views.

see how many white women voted for an irredeemable pervert over a qualified white woman in 2016.

You will see conservative Irish Catholics vote against Biden.

White Democrats usually lose the majority of white voters to Republicans but that rarely makes headlines. Whites have voted for non-white Republicans over Dems in many red states.
