Trump in Dead Heat With Top Democrats in Key Swing State of Florida, Poll Finds

President Donald Trump is in a statistical tie with the Democratic Party's top 2020 contenders in the crucial swing state of Florida, a new poll from Florida Atlantic University has found.

Within the Democratic Party itself, Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts is narrowing the gap between her candidacy and that of former Vice President Joe Biden, mirroring national polling which has documented her steady ascent.

In the Sunshine State, Warren, Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders were all found to lose to Trump in hypothetical matchups by a margin slim enough to be a statistical tie. Senator Kamala Harris, however, would lose decisively to Trump in the state, the poll found, above the margin of error.

Despite being underwater nationally, Trump has sustained a net-positive approval rating in Florida, at 49 percent (compared with 46 percent disapproval).

Last election (2016) there was at least one person who posted here that they were certain that Clinton was going to win Ohio because they lived in Ohio and had a pulse on what people were thinking.
This seemed to come from someone whose friends were mostly limited to HRC supporters
People also need to stop focusing on how dumb trump supporters are, because they're smart enough to find the voting booth and they bring other like minded types with them
People who support whomever the nominee is, or who just hate ill presidente, might consider getting their friends to the polls

It's full of reichwingers. Their sheriff is likely not qualified under Florida law to have that position, but he is the favorite to win the Republican nomination and the GE
The retirement communities are being filled with reicher retirees -- the Village comes to mind

All our elected officials are republicans. But an unknown democrat in a non partisan city race just drew 41% of the vote against the better funded and incumbent republican. In the county, we have 109,000 republicans registered, 79,000 democrats and 56,000 other. Our nominee is going to lose my county to Trump, Hillary did, but she did much better that I expected here, even when no one from her campaign came within 80 miles of my county (Trump campaigned in it's biggest city).

The key to winning Florida is cutting into the republican's winning margin in counties like mine by 1,500 votes and running up blue margins in the urban areas, that requires visiting all areas of the state and jacking up Blue excitement.

Florida has been trending away from the Democrats
This has been aided by the high number of reich-wing retirees moving there, to places like the Village

For the FL poll to be right FL would need to have a fifteen point partisan lean for the Republicans. No way is it near that large. It's been between 3-4 points in the last five or six presidential elections
