Iowan here..and Beto has been talking specifics

Especially when it comes to the Environment.. They did the same thing to Obama.. I am a Biden supporter, but Beto is not walking around with his head in the clouds.. We have heard him speak.. so just for everyone's information.. He has a different way of speaking in small venues.. he engages people and does not just lay out a policy plan.. so I am going to look to my better angels and assume people just have not heard him.. or are not used to people engaging with their audience..

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

We saw him on Saturday running a 5 K.. and our local news covered his meetings at coffee houses etc.. and I did not realize how well he could explain aspects of the green new deal.. he is a good speaker in that venue..

I am glad to know this. I hope his campaign is reading my following comment: We need substance and specifics all the time. Get specific and get your platform together. Talk issues.
Good looks and touchy feely only go so far. The time for that is now over. Get with it and bring home the bacon!!!

Bernie and Biden top the charts because everyone knows pretty much all there is to know about them. Harris and Warren have been in the news a lot, Warren for years, now, and they are becoming "old friends".

The rest of the crew, including Beto, are upstarts and we don't know all that much about them, but are learning. Some, like Klobuchar and Booker, have been in the background, but never much out in the light of day.

This early out, who knows. In the beginning, Trump was a joke candidacy, but look what happened. We've got a pile of serious candidates, and anything can happen. Probably will.

Personally, I've got my eye on this Butti-whatever guy. The more I see of him, the more impressive he seems. But, it's still early and we haven't seen all sides of him. Or many of the others.

He's really good at talking to people in small venues and actually addressing their concerns. He doesn't just go in with a a prepared speech and tout why he's right. He makes people feel like their daily lives and issues matter.

I'm interested in seeing how this plays out with voters nationwide.

A Democrat shouldn't be jealous of the success of another Democrat, knowing that it's a Democrat that we want to put in the White House at the end of the day - in January 2021 in this case

He seems to enjoy engaging with individual people, not just lecturing to large rally crowds. He's very detailed, especially on environment and immigration. I'm still undecided, but he's on my very short list.
