Corey Booker is running out of money

I like Booker. We made him a honorary Texan at the state party fundraiser last year. Booker gives a great speech. This new does not surprise me

Biden, Warren, and Sanders (with an outside shot for Harris and Buttigieg) are the only candidates with a realistic way forward.

Oh, please. There will be no "revolution" that involves BS at all and the polling bears that out. He's running a divisive campaign that only serves to weaken the party and create division and distrust. That type of negativity leads to apathy. Apathy results in lower voter turnout. Lower voter turnout makes it easier for the GOP and Russia to steal elections.

All I'm saying is that at this critical juncture, America needs a true leader. We can do better than BS and we have much stronger candidates who actually have the temperament to be the Leader of the Free World and who have the temperament to proudly represent our great nation on the World's Stage.

that a candidate doesn't seem to be getting anywhere, so they don't want to waste their money. Without money a candidate can't do ads and can't raise more money. That's the campaign death spiral. I like Booker (I like most of the candidates) but the field is just too big for them all to be able to keep fund-raising.

off with his attacks on Biden. It is fine to highlight the differences but Booker and Kamala (and also Castro) took it a bit far. And believe me I’m not sold on Biden either. However, I think he is a good, loyal democrat that did not deserve it. I do have concerns about Biden’s age and potential health issues. He just does not seem as sharp now. 😢 I absolutely LOVE Elizabeth Warren. However, I’m concerned about her appeal in states like Pennsylvania,Michigan and Wisconsin. I’m African American. I live in VA but discussed the candidates with my family and my in-laws that live in TN. Neither side wanted to talk about Warren. My FIL said she was too liberal. He was considering Booker. My mom wants Biden but also has concerns about his age/health. My stepdad is looking at Booker too. So my family is kinda all over the place. I’m terrified that we will choose the wrong candidate and end up with Trump for another term.

20. Daily Beast: Cory Booker's Campaign Issues Dire Warning About His Presidential Run
Sat Sep 21, 2019, 03:24 PM
Sep 2019
https://www.thedailybeast.com/cory-bookers-campaign-issues-dire-warning-about-his-presidential-run?ref=wrap

Booker’s campaign manager Addisu Demissie wrote in a memo on Saturday morning, first reported by NBC News, that “Without a fundraising surge to close out this quarter, we do not see a legitimate long-term path forward.”

-snip-

“Cory got in this race to win it and to beat Donald Trump,” Demissie wrote. “With four and a half months until voting begins, he is well-positioned to do just that—if he has the resources to support and grow our team. But if our campaign is not in a financial position to grow, he’s not going to continue to consume resources and attention that can be used to focus on beating Donald Trump, which needs to be everyone’s first priority in this election.”

On a subsequent call with reporters, Demissie addressed the fact that the current top four were all white candidates in the most historically diverse presidential field in history.

“We have the most diverse Democratic field in history and I think it would be a shame if that diversity was not reflected in the candidates who end up competing for the nomination once people actually start voting come next spring,” he told The Daily Beast. “And I do think that there are some candidates in this race that should think seriously about their standing in it and what exactly their goals are. But I’m focused on what we need to do to win. We are still in a position to win. What we need to do is raise money in the next ten days. And that’s what we are going to focus on like a laser.”

While the campaign called this a “herculean challenge,” they also noted that they had raised $1.4 million in the final ten days of March to close out the first quarter. Now they’ll have to do that and then some to survive.
