https://projects.economist.com/democratic-primaries-2020/Biden is still in first place in high 20s;largely flat, BUT a small decline since June
Sanders also largely flat in mid teens; a gradual decline since April
Harris peaked at the July debate but has lost all her momentum; stuck in mid-single digits
Buttigieg jumped between March and May, and has been flat since; pretty much tied with Harris
Warren...started rising in March and has kept going up; if the trend line continues, she'll pass Biden in November

I believe the undecided Democratic voters will determine our nominee, and the debates will become more critical

(91,937 posts)support has been eroding. Where is that support going, and I would venture most of that going to Warren.
Biden's support has mostly been pretty stable.
It was obvious a while back that adding the poll numbers of Warren and Sanders would roughly equal Biden's support.
That is why I am speculating that it will be the undecided Democratic voters who will determine the nominee.
Of course as the lower poll number Democratic candidates start to drop out, their votes will go toward the remaining candidates in the race, and while those votes can determine the nominee, I think it will be the undecided Democratic voters that will be the factor

(58,785 posts)take control of government in 2020, I suspect electabililty may become even more of a consideration between two potentially electable candidates. The Republicans and Russia still see Biden as their big threat by far, regardless of these polls, but things can change.
The next four months hopefully will give the sizable numbers of us who, for instance, would vote for both Biden and Warren some indication of which direction they may need to go to win the White House.

(864 posts)A great chart. Along with the averages line there are dots for all the individual poll numbers. No question Warren is rising, but Biden is steady on course.
I wili, of course, support either Biden or Warren if either is the primary winner.
