Kamala Harris to Barr, May 1: "Has the president or anyone at the White House ever asked..."

Eric Columbus
@EricColumbus

Key point — Trump first spoke to Zelensky on April 21, ten days before Barr couldn’t answer if anyone in WH ever asked him to open an investigation. (h/t

@AshaRangappa_ for recalling this Harris/Barr exchange).

@SenKamalaHarris
: Has the president or anyone at the White House ever asked or suggested you open an investigation into anyone?

BARR: ..... ah .....

HARRIS: Seems like something you should be able to answer

BARR: I don't know .......

They better go after that unredacted Mueller Report and the underlying evidence. This isn't only about this dirty administration. It's about our elections being attacked. It will still go on long after Trumpty Dumpty falls off the wall.

In a Palmer Report article, it says:

Schiff quickly zeroed in on the sequence of events that played out once Maguire received the whistleblower complaint from the Inspector General. Schiff got Maguire to admit that he went to the Department of Justice to seek advice on whether to forward the complaint to Congress, even though he knew that Attorney General Bill Barr – the head of the Department of Justice – was accused of wrongdoing in the complaint.

This means Bill Barr was given the opportunity to illegally suppress a whistleblower complaint about himself – and he seized that opportunity. Considering that Barr used his position in government to violate the law in the name of sabotaging an investigation into his own behavior, this is a textbook case of obstruction of justice.

Maguire should have known not to ask someone who was named in the complaint!!
