John Dean urges Beto to reconsider his presidential run and return to Texas and defeat John Cornyn

@JohnWDean
Beto. Please reconsider your presidential run and return to Texas and defeat John Cornyn, which you can do. This is not your year for the White House but helping Dems take control of the Senate will earn you eternal appreciation from countless who matter!

primary today, I would vote for:

Cornyn is vulnerable. You have done a fine job on the stump, but it isn't your year. Help us take back the Senate.

Thank you Mr. Dean.

Hegar came within 3 points of beating John Carter in a traditionally-red district.

It's also already a crowded primary. It's going to be an interesting race.

but I'd say if you couldn't beat an absurdly unpopular and slimy Repub in Texas, it would be even harder to do that against Cornyn.

Let MJ do her thing. Give her a chance. Beto should run for governor if his campaign ends. Start a case for 2022. By then the state will be on the tipping edge

His Presidential Campaign is going nowhere … Beto has a 50-50 chance of defeating Cornyn ... If he does so , he will have the opportunity to run a more serious, credible presidential campaign 4 or 8 years from now ...I hope it is 8 years from now

I think Beto helps the surge in 2020. We need his voice on immigration and gun control in the Senate.That will help drive the top of the ticket as well.

including MJ Heger and Amanda Edwards. Beto is running for President, and because he is most likely to carry Texas's 38 electoral votes he will help whoever the Senate nominee is.

any statewide office in TX for the foreseeable future. He could return to Congress maybe or move to a more Democrat-friendly state if he wants to continue a career in politics. Maybe run for mayor of El Paso. I think he will land a position in the next Democratic Administration if I was betting.
