Andrew Yang could learn a lot from Beto O'Rourke

O'Rourke knows how important it is to slap down RW smears, even if they aren't aimed at you:

And this was Beto's tweet about how Democrats should respond to these attacks:

Trump’s ad about Joe Biden is a disgrace. Every one of us needs to call this exactly what it is: propaganda. Doing anything less is playing right into his hands.

Bill Maher, who often seems to support Democrats, apparently forgot this, and he's being hammered in GD today for parroting RW talking points:

When I heard about what Maher said earlier, I was thinking, "Thank God none of our candidates are that foolish!"

Then I ran across this, in a tweet from a CBS News campaign reporter, about what Yang said in NH two days ago:

Yang said having a son or daughter of a Vice President sit on the board of a for-profit company, “certainly has a bad look to it.” Yang added, “I agree with anyone who thinks that at a minimum it looks like it could influence the administration in ways that benefit the family.”

Never mind that the attacks on Biden are coming from the most corrupt president we've ever seen, who will not hesitate to spread lies about anyone he feels threatened by (which will include Yang in the very unlikely chance he's ever close to being a front-runner, at which time I'm sure Yang will be hoping his fellow candidates will speak up in his defense).

Never mind that Joe Biden did nothing wrong, and there's no evidence his son did anything wrong.

What do we hear from Yang?

“I agree with anyone who thinks that at a minimum it looks like it could influence the administration in ways that benefit the family.”

Really helpful.

Btw, I did a lot of searching to see if I could find anything Yang had said recently that could be viewed as a defense of Biden against this RW smear.

I couldn't find anything. Maybe I missed it, but I searched for quite a while.

However, I did find this tweet from Yang, posted six days ago:

I believe I’m very healthy for the Democratic Party. I hope they feel the same way.

See Beto O'Rourke's tweet instead.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
