Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumTwo random thoughts on Elizabeth Warren
Dave Green, the president of the UAW chapter in Lordstown, Ohio, recently said in an interview, "We [unions] just want a seat at the table."
Liz Warren has proposed making this mandatory -- that a worker from the company have a seat on the board of directors. And she proposed it a long time ago. I understand they do this in Germany.
I loved her comment in an interview in Mississippi recently.....
"I am sick and tired of freeloading billionaires. I just want them to pay their fair share."

(14,764 posts)Or was it monday. Anyway, she is getting "some" coverage, just not what beto and biden are getting.
And trump has his russian bot army dominating facebook and twitter.
So it's hard to get any oxygen unless you do something specifically. Beto is barnstorming the country, which gets cameras in his face asking questions we haven't heard him answer before. He doesn't have a day job, and has plenty of money, so it's easy for him to do.
A sitting senator, congress critter, or mayor/gev doesn't have the freedom to do that.
That will give additional opportunities to beto and biden.
Not necessarily because they are white males, but because the media loves an underdog and a perceived horse race.

(14,764 posts)For a lot of reasons, but these practical, seemingly simple ideas could actually change the way boards make some decisions.
She rocked with the consumer protection bureau, and that was in her first term.
