Biden campaign launches $6M ad effort in early states

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s White House campaign announced a $6 million media effort on broadcast and digital channels across all four early primary and caucus states.

The campaign said in a press release it will dedicate its resources to prime-time advertising on traditional television airwaves and digital platforms such as YouTube, Hulu and news- and sports-streaming services. The ads will air in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina and will “drive Vice President Biden’s core messages, mobilize supporters and volunteers, and build the campaign’s grassroots fundraising operation.”

“We know that Vice President Biden’s campaign pillars like protecting and building on Obamacare and restoring the soul of the nation are resonating in communities across America, which is why we are making significant investments to ensure early state voters see these messages,” said campaign manager Greg Schultz.

“We are not only going to reach them through traditional TV ads, but through dynamic paid media campaigns that will reach voters on their televisions, phones, laptops, and more.”

The original handwriting on the wall said "You are weighed in the balance and found wanting." So to whom does that refer, and why? Before answering, consider the fact that Biden is still ahead of or tied with Warren within the MOE, and far ahead in some states, e.g. South Carolina. Bernie's numbers are mostly flat or slipping. Warren might get the nomination but Bernie won't.

Anyone who's engaged in the 2020 Democratic process knows this to be true... most recently, Willie Brown. I for one take him quite seriously when he calls for Hillary to come out of retirement because, according to Willie Brown, Joe can't beat Dolt 45. His theory is that Hillary is secretly running for president because now she's making a lot of media appearances for her new book and is asked about the election and Trump and has some opinions. Obviously, anything Hillary does has a diabolical purpose and if she talks about politics it means she's running for president.

When Hillary was on The View, Abby Huntsman told Hillary that her sister is convinced that Hillary will enter the race in six months. So there's a CT in the right-wing bubble that in six months Hillary will burst on the scene and steal all the centrists from Biden.

The whole panel agrees about Trump. This Ukraine thing makes both of them angry because it's unpatriotic, so even they can't say anything about both sides. I'm so glad The View is on, it will help get more people on board with impeachment.

agree.. A show like The View reaches a lot of households that may not get as much solid information on what is going on with trump's treasonous extortion otherwise.

Ukraine and now China the lunatic is either really stupid or he thinks Impeachment will help him so he's assisting with the evidence piling up. OR BOTH!

To be honest, I seriously doubt that she'll get in the race, but we could see a draft movement next spring.

I mean, why wouldn't Hillary contemplate running for President a third time when prominent Democrats are calling for her to enter the race?| Indeed, according to the likes of none other than Willie Brown - a Democratic Party stalwart - Joe can't beat tRump.

And if Hillary is contemplating a 3rd run at the presidency, that should have Joe plenty concerned, as that would dilute the voters attracted to his moderate agenda.

LMFAO!! Talk about "unfavorable," your putting words in people's mouths... good try though!!

Now, I DID predict that once Joe entered the race, he will go down in flames for the third time in as many tries at the nomination... we're starting to see that now and, of course, that would only accelerate IF - notice I didn't say "when" - Hillary takes the advice of Willie Brown and other prominent Democrats encouraging her to enter the race.

Now, IMHO, the odds are AGAINST Hillary running - by your logic, does that mean she is?! - and Joe better hope that's she doesn't, as that would ensure his defeat. That's all I'm saying.

yes, Joe would be smart to do everything possible to see that doesn't happen.

But, then again, if Willie Brown is right that Joe can't beat Dolt 45, and only Hillary can, then maybe Joe should step aside and let Hillary take over the reigns as the Democratic Party's choice.

They told me earlier they never predicted Joe Biden wouldn’t run. Meanwhile, they posted exactly that multiple times even as reports of his campaign launch were ramping up. Bernie was a shoe in. Hillary is jumping in. Predictive abilities are not a strong suit. That much is clear. But it does provide a lot of high grade unintentional comedy, though.

Sanders and Pete raised more than that, so if that's all you got then you ought to stick to the topic - except that talking point won't work either. So either IA and NH are important or they are not - the Biden campaign seems to think so but some of his supporters don't - unless the polls change in his favor and then ...

I think everyone here knows the makeup of the two states so unecessary to repeat it. They've been called meaningless by some because Biden is behind in the latest polling. But the campaign seems to not agree. I was pointing out the irony - and that they will become meningful and all the talk about how they are unrepresentative they are will disappear - if Biden is doing well there.

Not meaningless, but not more meaningful than other states just for being first.

To use the other crazy argument, that the Southern primaries do not matter because we don't get their electoral votes: Iowa went to the Orange Menace, so why should we care when we didn't get their electoral votes?
