Interview yesterday with Erin Burnett.
Andrew Yang, at the end of this video:
Bernie, youre a national hero, a role model, an inspiration for so many of us, and you just need to get well. The country will still be here waiting for you when you get back on the trail and Im sure that will be very soon.

(15,668 posts)right. If I were not so turned off to candidates without any prior government experience whether it be administrative, legislative or executive I would definitely have him among my top two or three preferred candidates. tRump has tainted my comfort with such candidates however at least for right now.
I would love to see Yang serve as Secretary of Labor under a Dem President.

(38,958 posts)He has a policy proposal for what seems to be about a zillion things. They are well thought out and seem to be very forward thinking. We do need some things shaken up in DC and we need to put Humanity First as his campaign slogan states.
Got My Yang 2020 Coffee Mug yesterday in the mail, so I am good to go.

(15,668 posts)quite as a comfortable with someone who comes strictly with business experience based on what we are experiencing now (though the two are hardly comparable) and what ive seen from business people in other levels of executive governance.

(38,958 posts)what we are seeing now (and did with GW Bush) are not comparable. Government doesn't run like a business, but that doesn't mean that there are not business ideas that can be useful particularly in the areas of cutting wasteful items and practices.
I believe that Yang's experience and certainly his policy proposals are the right direction in which we should be headed and will continue to support him.

(1,701 posts)but I think Yang is different. He is both intelligent enough and humble enough to surround himself with people who have the experience that he lacks. I havent decided who to vote for, and, since I live in Oregon, the race will probably be settled before I vote in our primary, but I think he deserves serious consideration. He is thinking about the future in a way that no other candidate is, and I think he is a visionary. If nothing else, I hope that his predictions about the future of work in this country get the attention that they deserve.
