Have You Ruled Out Any Candidates?

I am still very much undecided. I have ruled out 2 candidates though:

Sanders
Gabbard.

I would, though vote for either of them over Trump, should it come to that.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Undecided

Will not vote for Gabbard, Gillibrand or Sanders in the primary, they just aren't the best choices, IMO. I will vote for an arthritic mangey yellow dog in the general if it has a D behind it's name, so I'd 100% vote for any of those 3 if they were our general candidate. However, I am almost certain it won't be any of these 3 that catch fire with only Sanders having even an outside chance.

I also think that Gillibrand and Warren will not fare well in the primaries. Voters will be favoring candidates who have charisma, just like they always do. Beto will get farther than he should be expected and the no-name marginal candidates will have a very difficult time getting even name recognition.

Tue Mar 19, 2019, 01:36 PM

even though I love everything about them ex: Buttigieg. For me the few that I think can win are
1. Biden
2. Beto
3. Kamala

And if I were really honest with myself, even my favorite Kamala probably has less of a chance than Beto or Biden.

FWIW, since I live in a totally red state where my general election vote won't matter, I am #NeverBernie. I won't forget or forgive what he did in 2016

Tue Mar 19, 2019, 05:05 PM
Mar 2019

Very solid and logical.

I agree that few on the list can defeat Trump. That is opposite of what most posters here believe. Kamala is great but sourced from California and as female I think she has less opportunity than Beto. All my concerns about Kamala are not what she would do during a campaign, but how she would be perceived.

If Biden were 10 to 20 years younger I'd have more confidence in how he would hold up. I don't like to make subjective exceptions as opposed to how something would be viewed in generic terms.

I think Inslee and Klobuchar would have a good chance. I am frustrated than most candidates who I believe have the greatest opportunity to defeat Trump are lower on the preference list, while ones atop have some built-in deficit like age and socialist, if not both.

Anyway, I'll have to say I have ruled out everyone except Beto, in terms of who I will vote for in the primary. As always, I don't believe in day-to-day whirlwind as opposed to making a sound big picture evaluation well ahead of time and sticking to it.

I will vote for any Democrat in November. I have never voted for a Republican on any level.

primary today, I would vote for:
