CNN to host town hall with Cory Booker in South Carolina
The HillCNN will host a town hall with Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Cory Booker (N.J.) next week, the network announced Tuesday.
Network host Don Lemon will moderate the event, slated for March 27 in Orangeburg, S.C., according to CNN.
Seating for the event will be distributed by the state Democratic Party and S.C. State University and Claflin University, two historically black colleges.
CNN has hosted similar events for several other 2020 Democratic candidates, including Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.); Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii); former Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.) and South Bend, Ind. Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D). The network is slated to host one with former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper (D) on Wednesday.
