The host of the show is the one providing the quotes. There is probably some good stuff in there. I'm sure he is also promoting the most dramatic hand-picked quotes he can.

A lot would have to happen for me to not like O'Rourke or Buttigieg. I simply like them both a lot.

Neither one of them is a likely contender at present. Maybe I expect too much humility from my candidates, but if I were polling under 10% nationally I wouldn't be touting my relevancy like that.

Under Beto's plan, if you do not voluntarily turn them in, then you are going to be charged under a criminal code, with a crime when you are caught by the police with them in your possession, and they will be CONFISCATED under the threat of deadly force (ie the police/LEO's of jurisdiction.)

Mandatory buyback programs would absolutely be confiscation. Yes, the gun owner is payed for the weapon but there's no option--take it or leave it but the weapon is removed. In a friendly way or not so friendly way.

"This is legit insulting to the millions of folks who are participating in the process and giving what they can. And -- it should be noted -- small-dollar donors powered the two candidates who out raised Pete last quarter," tweeted progressive strategist Rebecca Katz.
