New Quinnipiac poll- Who has best chance against Trump: Biden 48%, Warren 21%, Sanders 7%,

Buttigieg 2%, all others 1% or less

https://poll.qu.edu/national/release-detail?ReleaseID=3644

Biden's still seen as much more electable, even though Warren's currently leading him in the primary polling, 30% to 27%. (Both of them up one point since the last poll a week ago.)

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

You aren't asking people who they would vote for, you're asking them who they think OTHER people would vote for. That's pretty pointless, not to mention it can largely be a regurgitation of which polls they've already read about.

which translates into more ''actual" votes in the perceived "best chance" column. Definitely has its benefits.

...rather, it polls for who people think has the best chance against Trump, which is VERY different.

Polls that ask "who would you vote for in a head-to-head against Trump" are very valuable, and they do telt you who (at this point) has the best chance of beating him (especially when adjusted for state/electoral college results). But polls that ask, not who you would vote for, but rather you you think would have the best chance of beating Trump (i.e. it's asking the respondent not how they will vote, but rather how they think OTHER people will vote) are not useful... in fact, they are misleading BECAUSE they could actually affect (as you suggest) what people will think when they enter the voting booth, without people realizing that this poll question isn't isn't what they think it is.

Look how poorly BS is doing now. I think his health issues are taking their toll on the man and the campaign. He should just go ahead and drop out, in my opinion. He'll need to save his strength so that he can better serve the rest of his term as the senator from Vermont.

I know that Jane sure will be happy when he retires and they can spend time just relaxing and taking it easy in one of their three houses.
