It doesn't speak well for someone (who wants to be POTUS) to stoop to Trump's vulgar level. It "normalizes" it.

It's showboating, it's vulgar, and it does not elevate him in my eyes as being someone who's presidential... someone who has the temperament and demeanor to lead our nation.

Great for headlines and perhaps it'll get some more donations... but it's the sign of a campaign that's in trouble.

I hear what you're saying, but all I'm trying to say is that as a party, we're better than that. We should expect more from our leaders (or from those who aspire to lead our party and our nation.)

That's not a very smart strategy. It's short-sighted. I expect better from anyone who wants to be our party's nominee.

Is that Republicans, and their cult like followers in the evangelical community, can only sit and listen when we now use appropriately harsh language to describe his abominable behaviour. Trump has so debased his office.

I know its a tiny tiny sliver of silver, but its at least a bit of an advantage that any Democrat or other Trump critic, cannot be derailed and interrupted by red herring accusations of "how dare you be so inappropriate!", in order to stop a person from talking. Harking back to the initial days of the Obama presidency when one of his appointees Van Jones just HAD to resign because he dared to call Republicans "assholes" for Mitch promising to just say no to everything Obama proposed and make him a one term President.
