(673 posts)A little bit of an outlier for SC. Harris support collapsing in it.

(673 posts)I don't mean this is an outlier for Harris. I mean it's an outlier for Biden being a little lower than average.
Just commenting on Harris's support being cut in half since the last Mon poll there.

Among white Democratic voters, who make up about two-fifths of the likely electorate, it is a tight contest between Biden (28%) and Warren (24%), with Sanders (13%) and Buttigieg (8%) following behind. Just 6% of white voters say they do not have any candidate in mind as their pick.

(42,862 posts)BS is being rejected by SC's AA and POC voters... and it seems increasingly unlikely that BS will be able to carry any Southern state. He's well on his way to NOT being our party's nominee. It's clear to me that SC doesn't really care that "Bernie is Back" (assuming they even noticed in the first place.)
Considering his "name recognition" (after all, this ain't his first time at the rodeo) one could easily presume that he'd have an easier go of it. But then again, perhaps in a way, it's the "name recognition" helps to explain why he's only 6 points above Harris' numbers in SC. Would he otherwise be lower? We can only guess. Is it his "name recognition" that's holding him back? That seems to be a likely possibility.
In any case, all I'm saying is that these are devastating numbers that do not look good for BS, and I'm sure it's causing the BS campaign a lot of anxiety. It certainly does help to explain why they've been behaving like they have recently.
