If she is still in the race then, she can muck things up for the frontrunners. But she may hurt Bernie more than a true democratic frontrunner. I expect that democrats will back the true democratic frontrunner.

Bernie Sanders has a history of attacking the Democratic Party, he spoke fondly of Gabbard just this week. My guess is that he is ok with her behavior. I am afraid that he will pick her as his running mate if he gets the nomination. We need to be on guard for that. Sanders has a hardcore base that is pouring money into his campaign while the other candidates are splitting up money from solid-core democrats. I think once the field narrows, to one or two solid-core democrats they will outdistance Bernie on donation money, but until then it is going to be dicey.

...they will prove to be of some use. One way this information can be used is for my fellow DUers to write to the media and journalists here in what we from Hawai'l call The Mainland.

A journalist in Hawai'i did some great work of digging into Tulsi's origins in a multi-part series of articles. It was hair-raising, her upbringing is thoroughly autocratic and authoritarian. That woman is no Democrat.

Then our fellow DUer Mahina did some great work by posting it here at DU. I did my small part by bookmarking the link. There have been a trickle of articles about Tulsi since then, posted by other DUers like Cha, and I keep bookmarking and dredging up the links when Tulsi apologists show up.

But what I do is small. We need DUers to take this information, distill it, and start sending it to media as appropriate. The reason I reference Hawai'i versus the Mainland is that the islands are remote and small and I think it's too easy to overlook Tulsi's origins once she has told her glamorized origin-story.

Too many take her at face-value: attractive, articulate, ambitious, military service, with a touch of the exotic. The Mainland is a big market, media-wise, and it really is up to people like us to insist that the media dig a lot deeper. Correct them when they are wrong. Insist that they get it right.

Speaking of "media"-- Joy Reid just this minute called her "odd" and her manner of speaking about Assad and other things "Kremliny." Looks like someone got the message.
