The consensus among the talking heads seems to be that Buttigieg, Harris and Klobuchar were the top performers.

seems to be getting a lot of mention immediately. However, I'm not sure that it matters. The person who "wins" the debate hasn't really seen much movement in the polls beyond a small bump that fades as you move away from the date.

Everyone has some things they want to accomplish during the debate. If they can get those lines in and not do anything catastrophic, you can consider that debate a success. This is just the reality of a 10 person debate.

Warren and Harris and Biden had good nights and Klobuchar had her moments. The only thing I have heard about Sanders is since his heart attack he is not yelling.

The Boston Globe scorecard which some members promoted because it gave Biden a "D" only gave Sanders a "C".

I guess you might need to have it out with the Boston Globe as to who won the debate?

and I've also heard the story about the wishful demise of Biden from Bernie supporters before, but Joe is still around.

Net outcome: Marginal shift in the polls of two to three points for a couple of weeks then equilibrium will be restored and Biden will remain ahead.

As for myself, I remain undecided although I have disqualified several that were on the stage tonight.

I don't need any advice or guidance from anyone else. I can't say that I've voted in every municipal election or when there are only ballot propositions, but when I show up to vote I do know who (or what) I'm voting for.

so it's very easy to say and I like it that way.

There weren't any groundbreaking developments in the debate and two weeks from now we won't see any significant statistical changes in the polls. If anything, Buttigieg has closed the gap with Sanders in Iowa and New Hampshire so I wouldn't be surprised if there are some third and fourth place finishes for Bernie in the early primary states.

Bernie did NOT win the debate tonight.

Amy, Cory, Kamala, and Pete won tonight. BIG win for the Democratic Middle tonight.

I liked Biden's comment about the importance of winning back the Senate as well. Only a few candidates could do that. Too bad he had that one word "gaffe" with Booker. But he is right about the Senate.

... did poorly, but I don't think he "won" the debate. I do think Tulsi had a bad night... she's been getting some attention, and she seems unable to move ahead. She does have some good lines, but she doesn't seem as genuine... I think Harris, Pete and the others got the best of her.

... got that line in... about standing up for the 11 million (appx) immigrants. Even nicer because they can't vote. I know one of them... she can't go "home" because the USA is her only home. I will remember this wonderful young woman when I vote for the Democrat in 2020!

You should understand why they are talking about her.

I love that Sanders brings a lot of young people on board. The negative aspect is the political learning curve on display. For example, not understanding why they are talking about Tulsi and then transitioning that confusion into a conspiracy theory. <- Exactly What was done in the op.

It's all subjective but in my opinion Sanders only beat out Gabbard who was truly horrible, Steyer and Biden. The "I'm sick and tired" is used too often and got old fast and he's rambling too much. Maybe Warren and Klobuchar were just a bit better but the other ones were clearly better.
