NEW CNN primary polls of CA and TX: Biden leads by 1 point in CA, 20 points in TX

Tweet from CNN's Ryan Nobles:

NEW: @CNN Polls of Super Tuesday prizes of CA/TX
CA:
Biden: 21%
Sanders: 20%
Warren: 17%

TX:
Biden: 35%
Sanders: 15%
Warren: 13%

CNN article with Harry Enten's analysis:

https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/cnn-polls-12-11-2019/index.html

Enten believes that Texas could be a swing state in 2020, that Biden could beat Trump there.

If we get Texas, there are a lot of other states we DON'T have to win to win the EC.

Enten also points out that currently California polling suggests the three top candidates would divide the delegates pretty evenly, and one would have to be well ahead of the others to get a lot more delegates.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

If there are similar results in the other southern states on Super Tuesday the race could be over.

would move to Biden after Beto withdrew from the race.

And although there is no direct mention in the poll, there is an unstated message to AOC, Our Revolution, and Justice Democrats that candidates supported by their groups aren't going to get much traction in Texas no matter how much money they pour into that primary race. Warren lost some respect in Texas when she endorsed Cisneros over Rep. Cuellar.

I still believe that Biden would be wise to pick Beto as VP to help seal the deal in Texas though.

Waiting for the usual group of naysayers to appear again. 4, 3, 2, 1...
