reportedly managed to build an impressive computerized fundraising operation, amassing a very large database and big social media operations.

Automatic donations turn a great disadvantage of voters with less organized lives into an asset; once set up by clicking on the icon, the donations continue, 4+ every month, indefinitely until the donor remembers and takes the proactive step of putting a stop to it.

Presumably this would seem to explain the dissonance of a second-tier candidate who's never been close to breaking out and appeals to a lot of young, often not yet registered, and lower income people yet has more money than all the other candidates.

In 2008 , Hillary was crushing Barack Obama by 20% in the nationals …..In 2016 , Hillary was 30% ahead of Bernie ….Bottom Line : National polling ,taken before the results of Iowa and NH are in , are very poor predictors of how the primary race will turn out ...

Bernie 2.0’s polling numbers are more “baked in” vs Bernie 1.0.
Obama was a relatively unknown charismatic upstart who surprised many and then rode a wave of momentum. Bernie 1.0 had some of that, but Bernie 2.0 doesn’t get that benefit.

Also, if Biden and Sanders’ polling data was switched, I’m willing to bet you’d feel better about your preferred candidate.

AA voters wanted to vote for Obama he just had to show he could win. Sanders was largely unknown in 2016, he isn't now.

Poor RW RCP, unable to fudge Biden's popularity away. They certainly load on the bias in articles, to the point you don't even have to open some the headlines stink so bad.

Joe Biden
