I read his book "Promises to Keep" and I could barely see the words at times, because I was crying so hard. I have his more recent book, "Promise Me, Dad", but I haven't read it yet. I'm not sure I have enough tissue, though the truth is I'm not quite ready for the emotional avalanche.

I've never known a politician who has touched me so deeply, so often. This is a profoundly decent and caring person.

he gave a moving speech to people who had lost loved ones in the military. It was profoundly touching and empathetic. I had a friend who had lost his wife and I didn't know how to express my feelings adequately, so I sent him Biden's speech. It touched him as well.

Right now, we truly need some heart in the White House.

Appreciation for a show of compassion is not a zero sum game. It’s ok to recognize a man’s compassion and empathy even if he isn’t your number one candidate. Your candidate might ALSO show compassion to his fellow man. It’s all ok.

Joe Biden has been a fixture in DC for more than 40 years. People here really have never really paid that much attention to him.

And most politicians don't walk around assuming they're being watched and certainly don't necessarily treat people with kindness because they hope someone will see them doing it.

Joe Biden is a genuinely nice, down-to-earth person who treats everyone with kindness and empathy. Your assumption about him is really sad.
