Sanders slams Biden: He brings 'a lot of baggage' into the race

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) slammed his Democratic primary opponent former Vice President Joe Biden for the “baggage” he’d bring to a general election facing President Trump.

“It’s just a lot of baggage that Joe takes into a campaign, which isn’t going to create energy and excitement,” Sanders told The Washington Post in an interview published Thursday.

“He brings into this campaign a record which is so weak that it just cannot create the kind of excitement and energy that is going to be needed to defeat Donald Trump,” Sanders continued.

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/476603-sanders-slams-biden-he-brings-a-lot-of-baggage-into-the-race

Comparing the two sets of "baggage", Biden has an overnight bag, Sanders has a steamer trunk.

And if Biden's record is "weak", how can we characterize Sanders' record? There simply is NO comparison of the two.

Briahna Joy Gray is Bernie's current and former campaign secretary:

https://heavy.com/news/2019/03/briahna-joy-gray-bernie-sanders-press-secretary/

Briahna Joy Gray is Bernie Sanders’ national press secretary for his 2020 campaign. She was one of 15 new hires announced in mid-March that included 10 women joining Sanders’ presidential campaign team. Sanders’ press secretary in 2016 was Symone Sanders (no relation to Bernie Sanders.) Gray is known for being outspoken about her beliefs, including her decision to vote for Jill Stein in 2016 after Sanders didn’t get the Democratic nomination.

Yet, she was also outspoken in siding with Trump's attacks that Russian interference is a hoax:

Facts, videos, voting records, etc., then there is silence.

It makes me wonder whether it just a gigantic propaganda operation or are their folks who can see Bernie's communication director pushing Trump talking points, and it just does not bother them sort of like an Evangelical Christian being totally down with Trump.

Bernie was overtaken by Tulsi, given how openly anti-Democrat she has gone, but Bernie still is the only other candidate who is not addressed negatively. Perhaps this has to do with his votes against the Magnitsky Act or sanctions against Russia for election meddling?

...I do...does Bernie's comments make you nervous enough to want to whistle past the graveyard?

" “I don’t respond to Bernie,” Joe Biden says when asked about @BernieSanders hitting the ex-VP on Iraq today. You’re not going to get me into a fight with Bernie. Bernie’s got enough baggage,” Biden says, in a dig about Sanders’ comments to WaPo yesterday. "

" You’re not going to get me into a fight with Bernie. "
