...for the first time in my 70+ years, I feel we have a real chance to get something meaningfully done for the hard-working people of this great country...

...with Bernie as President, we will tip the scale of social fairness and justice dramatically to the Left even more than trump's tipped the scale of greed and corruption to the Right...

...Bernie's strong...Bernie's not a weak-kneed, mealy-mouthed, namby-pamby politician...Bernie's tough, says what he means and means what he says...Bernie's consistent and strong...everything needed to bring fairness and economic justice to working-class Americans...

...Bernie can do it, Bernie will do it...

...I truly believe he will...

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Didn’t know specifically why he initially ran as an independent... now very clearly understandable... the local Dems were not very “democratic,” tied to helping business rather than addressing the real needs of people on the street... certainly not the best of our kind. He was passionate about effectively fighting that entrenched corporatism. This political jousting aspect starts a little before the 4’ mark.

Also didn’t know he was elected to Congress in what back then was a consistently, solidly republican state the year Reagan got in, that bodes well for persuading this electorate, IMO!

It also made me reflect on the trope that’s slung around here about his bill record. Fact of the matter is, the economic and educational inequality he’s been trying to get folks to pay attention to for decades has ended up being a huge ogre... and more than a little responsible for the mass of voters who are following trump... if only we’d fought harder about the issues he was fighting for! Instead of abundance for corporate entities we would’ve had abundance for the people on the street, and they’d have been better educated/informed, rather than this enormous mass of angry people who feel like they’ve been deprived. What I’m saying is that, as with the Iraq war vote, he had important foresight.

I’m still looking at Elizabeth, but this helped me see Bernie in a more integrative way. Reccing this for folks who are still considering Sanders.

in the Post... it just finally made sense that Bernie has the best chance of beating trump plus she likes his long term consistency and good judgment on the Iraq war. I was especially surprised by her high level of enthusiasm about him, like really pumped up about him being the best by far to flatten trump.
