'This means recession - and war,' I thought out loud. Above all, war.

My best friend at the time (a Republican, sad to say) scoffed at the thought.

he has blurted out ridiculous orders that fortunately were ignored, but the capacity for widespread destruction is always there, as we've seen this week with the assassination of General Soleimani. No one has any control over him aside from adversaries like Putin. Anyone who suggested we should nuke a hurricane is a serious threat to everyone.

Don't get me wrong.
I like Joe's history for the most part.

This picture depicts the military strength we seem to need at the beginning of this decade.
I would choose him on a ticket in a heart beat if he were to be VP again behind either Liz or Bernie.

Not a 'smile and stand behind the Pres on photo shoots' (Shelf Elf) kind of a VP.

One who has some real second-in-command 'muscle' --- but answerable to a POTUS that is 'The Decider'.
I'm totally in favor of a strong tech advanced defensive force and could see it being run by a 'hands-on', 'boots-on-the-ground' Joe.
One tiny step below POTUS' power

Military expenditures are killing..........US!
We've been warned about the military/industrial "machine's spreading of fear to justify it's existence.
Mind control programs are not woo.
Endless war sucks.
